This is a relationship that can be very beneficial, as your breeder can continue to give you background, input and helpful information through the numerous questions you may continue to have- especially if you are a first time owner. I recently got to see just how important this relationship is when an elderly neighbor had to give up her dog, when she was no longer able to care for her dog. One call to her breeder and a perfect home was found. This is a much better option than having to surrender a beloved companion to a shelter.
